| Scottish Schools Swimming Championships - January 2010 |

Last Saturday saw twelve Lanark ASC swimmers represent their Schools at the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships at Tollcross. The local swimmers performed well winning three silver and two bronze medals and setting two new Club Records and a South Lanarkshire Record. Leading the way was Morven McNab (High School of Glasgow). Morven was seeded seventeenth in the programme in the 13/14 years 200m breaststroke but produced a splendid swim to take the silver medal in a time of 3.00.86. Ross McCafferty (Lanark Grammar) shattered his own personal best to also win silver in the 17/19 years 200m backstroke. Ross's new personal best time of 2.14.28 was a new Club Record and also a new South Lanarkshire Record. Niall McLeod (Lanark Grammar) produced a fine swim to take silver in the 17/19 years 100m butterfly in a new Club Record time of 1.00.09.
