Lanark Amateur Swimming club competed for the third time this year at Tollcross when 19 young swimmers swam at the City of Glasgow Long Course Graded Meet.
The Club's young swimmers posted some excellent times on their way to winning three ‘swam too fast awards', 8 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals.
Ten year old Euan McComish led the way winning three ‘swam too fast' awards in the 100m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle and 100m Freestyle, and won the gold medal in the 50m Butterfly and silver in the 50m Breaststroke. Competing in the same age group Alastair Gourlay won the 100m Freestyle and 4 bronze medals in the 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle. Ten year old Katie McIntyre won the gold medal in the 50m Breaststroke.
Robyn Patrick had seven top three finishes in the 11 year old age group. Robyn won four gold medal in the 50m Butterfly, 100m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke and 100m Breaststroke, silver in the 200m I.M. and bronze in the 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle.
In the twelve year old section Craig McCulloch won the 100m Backstroke.
