His first race was the 50m backstroke where his time of 41.29 was not only a personal best of over 5 seconds but a new National Record. The young swimmer carried this form into the 50m breaststroke again setting a new personal mark (42.69) a seven second personal best and another National Record.

Jack made it three wins out of three when he comfortably won the 50m freestyle in 32.05 a new pb to again break the existing National Record.

Lanark coach Karen Kelly said, “Jack can be extremely proud of his achievements. This was his first National Gala and he took it in his stride posting some excellent times.”
